Best place to celebrate NYE on Fort Myers Beach

Have you joined friends and family for the holidays in Southwest Florida? Are you looking for the best place to celebrate New Years Eve? Try Fort Myers Beach. Our little town's birthday just happens to be on December 31st and our city officials know how to throw a party!

One of the best places to find information about things to do on New Years Eve is the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce. On their website, you'll learn about:

  • The fireworks display

  • What's happening in the Times Square area

  • Live bands that are scheduled to play

  • Where you can find parking

  • The best way to avoid Ft Myers Beach traffic

  • If and when the Matanzas Pass Bridge will close

  • Restaurants where you can enjoy live music

  • Local hotels and businesses that will show you a good time

If you plan on staying up late to ring in the new year, then you won't want to miss the fireworks display. Every year Fort Myers Beach does a great job putting on a worthy display of colors and 2020 was no exception.

This year, we were privileged to take 127 guests out on a memorable tour under the midnight sky. We had visitors from Brazil, families with kids as young as 6 and as old as 86, and everybody was in great spirits. As you can hear in the video, the party favors were a big hit!

A variety of party classics (i.e. Auld Lang Syne), pop songs (i.e. "New Year's Day" by U2), and country favorites (i.e. "I love this bar" by Toby Keith) were played on the boat. We even had guests waving their arms, dancing in the isles, and singing at the top of their lungs to tunes like "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond.

The stars were bright and the night was so crisp and clear that we could see other fireworks displays from the cities of Bonita Springs, Naples, Fort Myers, and Cape Coral

Here are what some of our guests wrote on TripAdvisor:

I strongly recommend the Sea Racer for viewing the Fireworks. We had fun on the Pirate Ship last year but found that the alcohol was terrible but Sea Racer allows you to bring your own cooler. Also, we got back to dock faster because we were able to go HYPERSPEED at a certain portion which was also very fun! We had a great singalong on the boat--guests initiated this with the help of great music played by the crew! We wished it at been a little warmer but there is nothing Sea Racer could do about that. We will definitely take the Sea Racer again, and next time during a hot day! It will be so much fun!! Thanks to the terrific crew--they worked hard to give us a great time and took pictures of us at the front of the boat! I strongly recommend it! -JPierce59, 1/2/20

We watched the fireworks at Fort Myers Beach from this boat. It was a lot of fun! They let you bring booze, snacks and most importantly, blankets! It was cold out on the water, but we enjoyed ourselves. -oberdorf4, 1/1/20
